Interview/Couns Skills 2 (ODE)

Course description

In this course, students will be introduced to various higher order skills as measured by the interpersonal influence continuum. In addition, students will be introduced to a variety of major theoretical perspectives on counseling, including the person-centered, cognitive behavioral and brief therapy models. Emphasis will be placed on experiential learning and students will have the opportunity to integrate theoretical concepts with their emerging counselling skills

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
