Course description

Across cultures, languages, and historical moments, cinema has the power to entertain, challenge, and inspire through the art of storytelling. This course introduces students to major cinema genres, examining how they evolve, reflect, and sometimes subvert societal norms and artistic conventions. Through the analysis of cinema styles, narrative structures, and visual techniques, students develop critical viewing skills and explore cinema’s role in shaping cultural identity, social movements, and global perspectives.
