Course description

Students refine their skills and knowledge within professional museum and gallery settings to successfully design, plan, fabricate, and install a range of exhibitions. Attention is focused on how the various elements of exhibition plans (such as architecture, lighting, display furniture, interactives, and didactics) aid the navigation of exhibitions and the interpretation of the artefacts. Visitor evaluation and consultation are incorporated into the creation of inclusive spaces in response to diverse visitor needs. Students learn how to select and execute appropriate forms of documentation for the exhibitions they create.
