Supportive Care Assistant microcertificate
Fully subsidized tuition | Six weeks online training, four-month paid work placement
The Supportive Care Assistant program is a fully subsidized microcertificate created to address the acute labour shortages in the long-term care sector. This program allows you to discover a new career, gain work experience, and make a difference in your community. It can help accelerate the next step of your career in you choose to pursue further studies and become a fully certified personal support worker.
The program is part of CICan’s Building Capacity in Long-term Care project. It is funded by Employment and Social Development Canada.

Routine Practices and Infection Control (IPAC Canada)
$90 | 4 hours

Developed over a one-year period by a Pan-Canadian Committee of Infection Control Professionals (ICPs), this curriculum is designed to assist health-care facilities and staff by offering a step-by-step overview on best practices for reducing infections through routine practices. It includes case studies, simulations, narration, video and questions. Georgian College provides reporting and administration for registered enrollees and organizations, and provides a certificate of completion for those who achieve the minimum threshold levels for completing the curriculum.
This is a must for front-line workers of organizations that wish to implement Infection Control standardized routine practices across their organizations in a timely, cost-effective manner that is easy to use and readily accessible. This professional curriculum is accredited by SOFEDUC for a Continuing Education Credit (CEU) as well.
