Understanding Art and Design

Diverse topics within the history of art and design are explored in this course. Students will examine selected historical art styles, movements, and concepts in order to develop a broad appreciation of art and design. Finally, students will contextualize a general understanding of art within contemporary art and design practices and opportunities.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
