Course description

In this course, students are introduced to the internal stresses and strains developed in engineering materials when externally loaded. Stresses, and resultant strains include axial stress, shear stress, bending stress, and torsion. Bearing stress and stresses on oblique planes are also covered.

Post Secondary level MENG 2003 Statics Minimum Grade of 50
or Post Secondary level MENG 1022 Statics Minimum Grade of 50
