Students gain an understanding of the theories regarding the etiology of spectrum disorders, including Autism and Fetal Alcohol spectrum disorders, from a global perspective. Incidence according to ethnicity, common signs, symptoms and characteristics are discussed. The design and implementation of behavioural treatment plans, with an emphasis on Applied Behaviour Analysis and Intensive Behavioural Intervention, are examined.
