Course description

Students focus on the responsibilities of the nurse in the practice setting. The steps of the nursing process are learned and applied as students engage in care planning and health teaching exercises. Students develop professional standards of practice related to documentation, collaboration, self-regulation and leadership. Professional quality assurance and reflective practice expectations are explored and applied through experiential activities.

Post Secondary level NRSG 1005 Profession of Nursing 1 Minimum Grade of 65

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
