Preparing for Your Career

To prepare for their career, students receive coaching and feedback to enhance employability and professional skills. Students analyze labour and regulatory legislation in Child and Youth Care practice. Students participate in mock interviews and are guided through resume and portfolio development, explore networking opportunities, and receive career counselling and planning. With guidance from faculty and peers, students examine scenarios from placement and participate in role plays to help develop the skills required in agency or community settings.

Prerequisites


Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
