HLTH 2005

Students examine various medications and their actions as related to persons with developmental disabilities. Knowledge and skills needed to interpret medical orders, safely administer medications and support self-administration of medications for individuals with developmental disabilities are acquired. Competence in safe medication administration, as dictated by the Regulated Health Professions Act, is demonstrated. Proper disposal of medication is explained.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
