Course description

Students further develop their understanding of nautical astronomy, celestial and terrestrial navigational calculations. They practice position fixing by observations of the relative movement of celestial bodies as well as sea surface sailing calculations.

Post Secondary level MARE 1016 Astronomy For Navigation Minimum Grade of 60

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
