Course description

In this course, students explore the nursing care required for clients and families experiencing mental health disorders. They develop theoretical knowledge of mental health conditions and crisis management, in order to provide safe and ethical mental health care. Students develop cognitive skills needed to perform mental health and safety assessments, while having the opportunity to examine how social and cultural environments affect mental health and influence nursing practice.
