The online course provides an advanced look at the Java programming language. Students learn how to develop and integrate advanced Java applications and Web applets. The course covers such items as JDBC, network sockets real time threading and JSP (Java Server Pages)

Post Secondary level COMP 1043 Java Introduction (ODE) Minimum Grade of 50
or Post Secondary level COMP 1008 Intro Obj Oriented Prog-Java Minimum Grade of 50
or Post Secondary level CSC 2345 Intro To Java Programming Minimum Grade of 50

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
