Introduction to Studio

PHOT 1010

Students learn about studio photography equipment and lighting for photography. Emphasis is place on the light quality, the colour of light and the modification of light derived from natural and artificial sources, both continuous and instant. Tethered photography using industry standard software are explored. Students learn about the studio, to set up and use bounce boards, basic grip equipment, portable flash, and a one light studio flash set up to make unique and original photographs.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
