Intro to CYC 1
Students explore the field of Child and Youth Care (CYC) and the complex challenges facing children, youth and families. Students examine core concepts which are threaded through the program, including risk and resilience, the ecological perspective, and relational practice with children, youth and families within their life space. CYC domains of practice and competencies as well as CYC professional certification are introduced.
Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
