Students are introduced to the functions of the different body systems, building a foundation of essential knowledge in anatomy and physiology. Anatomical direction, planes, and regions are studied. Emphasis is placed on the integumentary system including the layers, functions and structure of the skin. Skin diseases and disorders are explored.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
