Students explore concepts and principles of forensic sciences related to modern policing practices. Based on the rules of evidence, forensic requirements, and statute law, students conduct an investigation. Students collect, preserve, analyze, and communicate forensic crime scene evidence in a manner suitable for court presentation. In addition, students demonstrate skills related to observation and investigation, digital photography, retrieval of latent prints and recording of critical information.
