Fitness Instructor Leadership

Students plan and instruct a variety of group fitness classes such as cardiovascular conditioning, muscle strength and endurance training, stretching, and relaxation. Students learn and practice class format, leadership, motivation, musicality, choreography, cueing, monitoring techniques, and exercise modifications.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
