Diversity/First Nations (ODE)

In this course, students will focus on topics pertaining to inequality in various social settings, including: race, gender, ethnicity, class, and sexual orientation. Incorporating social/legal explanations of diversity, students will develop a clear understanding of the impacted groups and possible strategies of community empowerment. Students will also increase knowledge and awareness of important issues in the First Nations cultures of Canada.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
