Course description

Students gain an in-depth awareness and empathy for individuals with unique needs, including clients throughout the lifecycle, those with disabilities, and those with diverse cultural backgrounds. An emphasis is placed on using a culturally relevant approach to recognize barriers and issues that affect access to care, as well as the modifications to care required to meet the needs of a diverse client population. Students examine principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion.

or Post Secondary level DENT 2028 Clinical DH - Intermediate Minimum Grade of P)

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
