Course description

This course is a continuation of Corporate and Commercial Law I, in which students focus on the maintenance of corporations and the roles of directors, officers, and shareholders. Corporate restructuring, financing, and dissolution are examined along with the purchase and sale of a business, the Personal Property Security Act, and the rights and remedies of secured and unsecured creditors. Students also examine ethical issues involved in corporate and commercial law.

Post Secondary level LAWS 2040 Corp and Commercial Law 1 Minimum Grade of 50

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
