This course will provide the student with the opportunity to gain an understanding of how consumers make decisions regarding what to buy, what brand to buy, where to buy, when to buy and how much to buy. Psychological, socio-cultural and situational influencers on this decision making process are explored in considerable depth. The objective is to be able to intervene in the process to modify the consumer's behaviour and persuade them to move in a favourable way.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
