Students examine the importance of an active living lifestyle to support personal wellness and foster a sense of belonging. Personal and societal trends relating to leisure and wellness are discussed within a framework of quality recreational experiences for people. Students discuss and apply techniques of facilitation including leadership, program planning, and community building. Employment of environmentally sustainable practices is discussed.
Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
