Canadian Literature

HUMN 2000

Students analyze contemporary short stories, a novel, and poetry written by Canadian authors. Through close reading, students identify authors’ writing strategies, as well as themes related to Canadian issues. Using critical analysis, literature is examined from historical, social, cultural, and personal perspectives to uncover meaning and deepen understanding.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
