CAD Mechanical 2

CAD Mechanical 2

COMP 1025

Students utilize parametric 3D solid modeling software to create CAD parts, assemblies and drawings for the mechanical engineering discipline. Adhering to the principles of mechanical engineering design and industry standards, students are introduced to the principles of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM / DFA) with applications of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Components and assemblies are modeled from materials that are made from machining and sheet metal. Utilizing design libraries and bulk items are also investigated, along with assembly analysis.
