Students are introduced to the skills necessary to meet the communication needs of a person with a developmental disability who has receptive and/or expressive communication differences. A variety of communication strategies, techniques and devices designed to augment or replace speech are examined.
Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
