This course is designed to provide the student with theoretical background and skills pertaining to treatment methodology in the areas of articulation, phonology and motor speech. Typical developmental milestones and sequences are studied along with disorders and the intervention process. Activities and strategies reflective of a variety of treatment approaches and current trends are explored. Motor speech disorders are examined, along with the treatment options available.
Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
