Students are introduced to anatomy and physiology with an orientation to the body and continuing through the cell to specific body systems. Medical terminology is introduced to allow a basic understanding of appropriate vocabulary. The interrelationships of body organ systems, homeostasis and the complementarity of structure and function provide the basis for understanding the human body.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
