Students explore professional issues related to nursing in Canada, including nursing organizations, inter- and intra-professional relationships and leadership roles within acute and urgent care settings. Students examine research, evidence based practice, emerging trends in healthcare and technology, and how they influence change for the improvement of client care.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
