Adv Machine Tool Applications

TDIE 1014

In this course, students focus on the practical application of knowledge pertaining to the safe set-up and operation of standard metal cutting machine tools, the correct and safe selection of cutting tools, Revolutions Per Minute (R.P.M.), feed rates and machining processes. Students practice active learning strategies as they complete action plans prior to each class and monitor their progress until completion. Students develop an entrepreneurial spirit through the calculation and application of time-estimation and machine operations.
