Sust Mat and Finishes for KBD
Students study sustainable issues including the efficient use of energy and water in the design of kitchens and baths. Materials, finishes, and proprietary items such as plumbing and cabinetry hardware, equipment, appliances, shower inserts, baths, sinks, and basins are assessed in relation to sustainable issues and hygienic, durability, and aesthetic considerations. Experiential learning is integrated through industry specific research, field trips, and guest speakers.
Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
