In this course, students focus on systematic inquiry into how individuals and groups behave and function using non-numerical data collection methods. Through the exploration of in-depth interviews, focus groups, case studies, field observations, literature reviews, and historical research methods, students learn data-gathering techniques. Students apply these qualitative methods by means of case studies, field experiences, and class research projects.
Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
