Python for Data Science
AIDI 1002
Course description
Data‑driven decision‑making has become essential across nearly every industry, making the ability to work with data and understand machine learning workflows a foundational skill. In this course, students are introduced to Python as a core tool for data science, and they explore the concepts behind machine learning, practice data exploration and preparation, and construct machine‑learning‑ready data structures using real datasets. Students learn how to apply the Python programming language to represent features and labels, separate training and testing data, and improve data quality to enhance model performance. By the end of the course, students are able to implement effective data preparation techniques that support accurate and reliable AI systems
