In this course, students are introduced to the stages, processes, and software necessary to prepare materials for commercial printing and digital applications through hands-on practical projects. They develop insight into production procedures and issues, such as proofing, sustainable design, and working with various file formats. Students also learn industry terminology necessary to work with clients, peers, and suppliers involved in the print and digital production processes.
Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
