Course description

Students learn the conversion of one type of motion to another, including changes in rotational speed, direction, and torque. Students apply material properties with stress analysis methods to make engineering judgements. Subsequently, specific components of machines, such as shafts and bearings and belts, chains and gears are addressed for mechanical design situations.

Post Secondary level MENG 2007 Strength of Materials Minimum Grade of 50
