Intro to Sport Administration

Students are introduced to the administration, operations and context of global sport business. Career opportunities in sport facilities, professional organizations, youth and amateur sport, tourism, sponsorship, fundraising, finance, marketing, media and communications are presented. Course themes include the historical, socio-cultural, political and economic parameters that influence sport. The implementation of strategies for ongoing personal and professional development are emphasized throughout this course.
