Course description

Students are placed in an agency, residential or unique community setting. Students have direct contact with children, or provide services for children or youth who may demonstrate social, emotional or behavioural challenges. Students consolidate theoretical, programming, interpersonal and relational practice skills.

(Post Secondary level CYWK 1007 Intro to CYC 1 Minimum Grade of 50
or Apprentice level CYAO 1001 Intro to Child and Youth Work Minimum Grade of 50)
and ( Crisis Intervention Certificat P
or Post Secondary level CYWK 2022 Crisis Intervention Minimum Grade of 50)

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
