Course description

In this course, students learn fundamental principles of heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) in a building. They also study the mechanical and electrical equipment of a building, along with water supply, plumbing, and drainage systems. Students explore the implications of building services in the performance of a building and the current and emerging requirements for its sustainable operation. Consideration is also given to applicable requirements of the Ontario Building Code (OBC).
