Course description

Students examine current threats to network security and emerging trends, including hacking, ransomware, cryptocurrency, and global areas of concern. Students explore best practices for safeguarding data through effective password management, layered security protocols, and firewall configuration, and evaluate system vulnerabilities by applying security frameworks—such as cryptography, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and encryption systems—to manage risk and protect networks and computer-based systems

Post Secondary level PSIN 2012 Cyber Threats Minimum Grade of 50

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
