International Information Week (IIW) for Summer Semester 2024
To all our new international students, we’re excited to welcome you to Georgian College!
Before you begin, join us for International Information Week (IIW). This event is a series of online sessions that have been designed specifically for international students starting in the summer semester. We strongly encourage attending these sessions as they will offer essential guidance on mandatory prerequisites and facilitate a smooth transition as you plan your arrival in Canada.

DAILY SESSIONS – MARCH 11 TO 15
Welcome Session Including Registration and Academic Orientation

Get to know your campus
March 11, 11:30 a.m. to noon (12:00 p.m.) EDT
International Student Insurance and Well-being
March 12, 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. EDT
Mandatory Arrival Process and Housing
March 13, 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. EDT
Students Travelling with a Spouse or Children and Community Resources (optional session)
March 13, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. EDT
Immigration Support, Applications, and Social Insurance Number (SIN)
March 14, 10 a.m. to noon (12 p.m.) EDT
Employment and Budgeting
March 15, 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. EDT
By participating in these sessions, you’ll have the opportunity to win a $50 gift card to the Georgian Store. These gift cards can be used to buy a variety of items, like cozy sweaters, sweatpants, water bottles, and other merchandise. They can even be used to purchase your textbooks!
International Information Week is not available for Georgian@ILAC or Lakehead University students.
