Design and Visual Arts Scholarship Show reception – Barrie
The Design and Visual Arts programs at Georgian College will present their annual Scholarship Show from April 25 to May 14 in the Helen and Arch Brown Centre for Visual Arts on the Barrie Campus, D building. On display is the work of top students, representing eight programs.
At stake is over $30,000 in awards donated by our industry partners. Just prior to the show opening, the work is judged by panels of experts from the various industries represented by the programs. Visitors to the show will be able to view the work of all nominees and award winners.
Show hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday.
The opening reception is on Friday, April 25, from 7 to 9 p.m.
Georgian students, employees, and the public are invited to visit during these hours.
Participating departments Art and Design Fundamentals, Digital Content Creation and Strategy, Graphic Design, Interior Decorating, Interior Design, Jewellery Design, Bench Skills and Business, Kitchen and Bath Design, and Visual and Digital Media Arts.
Art and Design work will be hung throughout The Helen and Arch Brown Centre for Design and Visual Arts (the D building) in The Campus Gallery (D140), the hallways, and rooms D140A, D116, and D123.
