Barrie: Career Fair

Georgian College will host its 2026 Career Fair on Thursday, Jan. 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Barrie Campus in the gymnasium, bringing together students, faculty, staff, and employers from across our region and beyond.

This year’s event is shaping up to be one of Georgian’s strongest yet, with 83 employers already registered. These employers represent nearly all co-op programs offered at Georgian College, underscoring the breadth of opportunities available to our students and the depth of our partnerships with industry.

The Career Fair is more than a recruitment event—it is a powerful demonstration of the strong relationships Georgian has built within the community. Employer participation at this scale reflects the confidence organizations have in Georgian students and graduates, as well as the value they place on engaging directly with our campus community.

For students, the Career Fair provides critical opportunities to:
• Network with employers across a wide range of industries
• Explore co-op, internship, and graduate employment pathways
• Practice professional communication and career-readiness skills
• Build connections that often lead to future work-integrated learning and employment opportunities
