Biography

Teresa Snelgrove is a seasoned executive with a strong commitment to building excellence in organizations while being responsive to stakeholder needs. Her last full-time role was as President and CEO of ProFitHR, an early stage company that sells a suite of screening tools for assessing candidates for professions and professional schools. She now sits on their Board. In the past few years she has sat on the Board of Governors of Georgian College, New Path Foundation and New Path Family Services, and the Georgian Angel Network. 

Prior to ProFitHR, Teresa was a Managing Director for the executive recruiting Boyden International in their Toronto office. Before joining Boyden, Teresa spent 12 years as a Partner with Snelgrove Associates where the focus of the practice was management recruiting within the venture capital community and their portfolio companies, primarily in the technology, healthcare, life sciences and biotechnology sectors. Teresa’s work has been closely associated with entrepreneurial endeavours beginning with the co-founding of Timothy’s Coffees of the World in 1975 a specialty coffee chain now owned by the US firm Green Mountain Coffee, Chapters Bookstore Café and General Wellbeing a small chain of wellness stores in hospitals. 

Teresa received a B.A. from McGill University, a M.A. and a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto.  In 2000, she also completed a Masters in Education in Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto.
