Student Experience Survey (SES) contest rules and regulations

OVERVIEW

The Student Experience Survey (SES) contest is open to students in semesters 2 (two) to 8 (eight) of their program.

This contest is open to residents of the Province of Ontario 16 years of age and older. Any winner under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian sign an affidavit of eligibility. No purchase is necessary to enter this contest. Void where prohibited by law. Quebec residents are excluded from participating regardless of their enrolment status at Georgian College.

By entering this contest, you declare that you have complied with all of these rules and regulations and met all eligibility requirements.

HOW TO ENTER

No purchase necessary to enter. To participate in the Contest, you must:

  • Complete the Student Experience Survey in winter 2021 semester using a unique survey link sent to your Georgian student email.

ENTRY TERMS AND CONTEST PERIOD

The maximum entries per individual is 1 (one). Maximum entry per individual per session is 1 (one).  To enter:

  • Complete the Student Experience Survey in winter 2021 semester using a unique survey link sent to your Georgian student email.

Contest opens on February 16, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. EDT and ends February 26, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. EDT. If contest is extended, the end date is March 5, 2021.

PRIZE

There are ten (10) prizes:

  • Ten (10) $100 gift cards to ‘Georgian Stores’ (the Georgian College bookstore)

The winner of the prize will be drawn at random from eligible entries received while the contest is open based on the criteria listed above. The proposed winner will need to answer a mathematical skill testing question, without assistance or mechanical aid to be determined the final winner.

RELEASES

The Winner, or the Winner’s legal guardian if the Winner is under the age of 18, must sign a liability waiver and publicity release, releasing Georgian, its Board of Governors, its advertising and promotional agencies, the affiliates and related entities of the foregoing and all respective directors, officers, partners, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assignees from any liability in connection with this Contest or the Prize awarded as a condition to and in advance of receiving the Prize, or the prizes will be forfeited.

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible to win the Prize, the Winner must enter the Contest during the Contest Period (see “How to enter” section).

Georgian reserves the right not to select a winner or winners, if, in its sole determination, if it does not receive eligible and/or qualified entries.

The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

Georgian reserves the right to amend these contest rules and regulations or to terminate the contest at any time without any liability to any entrant.

CONTEST DRAW AND NOTIFICATION

The proposed winner will be contacted via their Georgian student email account on or about Friday, March 19, 2021. If the proposed winner does not respond within ten (10) days following the first attempt at contact, if the proposed winner’s entry is deemed ineligible, if the proposed winner fails to correctly answer the skill testing question, or if the proposed winner declines the prize, the prize will be awarded to another Entrant using the procedure outlined in paragraph 4 above.

The personal information requested on this form is collected under the legal authority of the Ontario Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology Act, 2002 and in accordance with Sections 38(2) and 41(1) of FIPPA.
