Pay Online Not in Line — Enter to Win $200 contest rules

The PAY ONLINE NOT IN LINE, ENTER TO WIN $200 draw (the “Draw”) is open to all credit full-time Georgian College of Applied Arts and Technology (“Georgian College”) students. The Draw is not open to employees of Georgian College or persons with whom they are domiciled. By entering the Draw, each entrant acknowledges that they have read and understood the rules set out below (collectively the “Draw Rules”), and accepts the Draw Rules and agrees to abide by the governing terms and conditions.

HOW TO ENTER 

To participate in the Draw, you must:

  1. Have a valid student ID number
  2. Be registered in a full-time program and have a full-time student status as of Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018
  3. Have paid the Fall 2018 term fees in full by the payment deadline of Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018A.
    • If you pay your fees through your bank by end of day Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018, you will qualify for the draw4
  4. The full balance of fees (all term charges, less the initial deposit) must have been paid as a bill payment through your bank
  5. Your account must be paid in full as of Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018

ENTRY TERMS

To be eligible, term fees must be paid in full by 11:59 p.m. (EST) on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018. Term fees paid in full on or prior to Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018 as a bill payment through your bank will be entered into the draw.Fees paid on or after Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018 or paid in person at Georgian College do not qualify for the PAY ONLINE, NOT IN LINE draw.

DRAW AND NOTIFICATION 

Odds of winning depend on the total number of students who have paid their Fall 2018 term fees per the above requirements.All qualifying students (the “Entrants”) will be entered into the draw. A winner will be randomly selected at noon on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018 in Barrie, Ontario. Georgian College will contact the selected Entrant by sending them a private message to the email address on their student record in Banner. The selected student will be required to sign and return a draw winner agreement and publicity release within ten (10) business days of notification. The selected student must correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by email before being declared the winner (the “Winner”).If a selected entrant: (I) cannot be contacted within three (3) attempts or before the end of the Contact Period (whichever occurs first); or (II) if there is a return of any notification as undeliverable; or (III) fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question; or (IV) fails to return the draw documents within the specified time, they will forfeit their prize and an alternate winner will be selected.In the event that the selected entrant does not comply with these Draw Rules, an alternative entrant will be selected by a second random draw.

PRIZE

The selected entrant will win $200 toward their ONEcard (Georgian College student card). The prize must be accepted as awarded and may not be transferred or exchanged. The prize cannot be converted to cash or substituted for another prize. Once the Winner signs the release, funds will be automatically loaded onto their ONEcard. If the winner is a student at the Orangeville, Muskoka or South Georgian Bay campus, the winner will have the option of selecting a $200 bookstore gift card in lieu of the ONEcard flex dollars.

RELEASES 

The Winner, or the Winner’s parent/legal guardian if the Winner is under the age of 18, must sign a draw winner agreement and publicity release, releasing Georgian College, its Board of Governors, its advertising and promotional agencies, the affiliates and related entities of the foregoing and all respective directors, officers, partners, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assignees from any liability in connection with this Draw or the Prize as a condition to and in advance of receiving the Prize, or the Prize will be forfeited.

ELIGIBILITY

Georgian College reserves the right to verify if the Winner satisfies all Draw eligibility criteria. Georgian College’s rulings are final and without appeal in all matters related to the promotion and the awarding of the Prize. Any dispute relating to the Draw (including, without limitation, a dispute as to whether an entrant has complied with all of the Draw Rules) shall be resolved by Georgian College in their sole and absolute discretion. All decisions of Georgian College shall be final and binding.Georgian College takes no responsibility for delayed, misdirected or late entries, or for typographical or other production errors. Georgian College is not responsible for any errors or omissions in printing or advertising this Draw. All entries become the property of Georgian College and will not be returned.

ONLINE ENTRY 

Georgian College assumes no responsibility for failure of the internet or the Georgian College Website, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the promotion. Georgian College reserves the right in their sole discretion to cancel or suspend the Draw should a virus, bug or other cause beyond their reasonable control corrupt the security or proper administration of the Draw. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, Georgian College reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.

GENERAL 

This Draw is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. By entering the Draw, participants agree to be bound by these official rules and by the decisions of the Draw judges, which shall be final on all matters relating to this Draw. The personal information of entrants will only be used for the purpose of administration of the Draw, unless the entrant otherwise agrees.Any questions regarding the Draw should be directed to Georgian College.
