Your guide to becoming a student at Georgian College
Calling all future Grizzlies! At Georgian, we’ll do everything we can to assist you from application through to graduation. Below is an overview of what to expect throughout the admissions process.
Once you submit your application, you’ll have access to the applicant portal. Here, you can expect a personalized experience where you’ll find up-to-date information about your application and next steps.
We’re consolidating our Orillia and Muskoka campuses into Barrie, with all programs and apprenticeship offerings at those campuses planned to transition by fall 2026. This means significant enhancements to the student experience with improved access to services, a wider range of facilities, an expanded employer network, and vibrant campus life.

Once you’ve found your dream program, it’s time to apply! The application process will vary by program and your particular pathway into Georgian. Find out how to apply.

Track your application
We’ve received your application! Now what?
While you wait for a decision on your application, take the time to review your program’s admission requirements and submit your documents to support your application.

Accept your offer
You’re in! Let’s make it official
So you’ve received an offer of acceptance – congratulations! Now’s the time to accept your offer and say “yes!” to an unrivaled education and student experience at Georgian.

Pay your deposit
Pay your tuition deposit to secure your seat!
Once you’ve accepted your offer at Georgian, pay your non-refundable tuition deposit in order to secure your seat in your program and proceed to register for your courses.
Plan your finances
Plan your budget and explore financial aid options such as the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) and awards, scholarship and bursaries (including entrance awards).

Register for your courses
Get registered for your courses at Georgian!
Full-time course registration opens about one month before classes begin. Your specific registration day and time can be found in Banner, Georgian’s student information system.
If you have previous postsecondary education, or relevant work or life experience, begin the process of applying for transfer credits at least 60 days before your term begins.
