VICT 1012

In collaboration with faculty and agency personnel students work in a community agency providing victim centred services or advocacy. This placement experience provides students with the opportunity to integrate theory with practice and to contribute to victim service initiatives within a community setting. Students reflect on their learning through student-led seminars, discussions and journals.

Post Graduate level VICT 1000 Victimology Theory (ODE) Minimum Grade of 60
and Post Graduate level VICT 1001 Victims of Crimes (ODE) Minimum Grade of 60
and Post Graduate level VICT 1002 Victimization and Law (ODE) Minimum Grade of 60
and Post Graduate level VICT 1003 Violence Against Women (ODE) Minimum Grade of 60
and Post Graduate level VICT 1004 Aboriginal People/Victim (ODE) Minimum Grade of 60
and Post Graduate level VICT 1005 Victims and the Media (ODE) Minimum Grade of 60
and Post Graduate level VICT 1006 Violence Against Men (ODE) Minimum Grade of 60

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
