The Financial Aid and Awards presents Thrifty Thursdays, a series of workshops to help you stay on track financially.  

From Classroom to Career welcomes Jonny Somers-Harris, BAComm, Financial Advisor from Prime Time Financial Inc. Jonny has a keen passion for getting young people on the journey toward financial freedom. During this workshop, you will learn:

  • benefits and contributions you will make while working, 
  • comparing job opportunities, 
  • commission and self-employment, 
  • budgeting to determine your ideal workload, and 
  • much more.

In-person location: C259, Barrie Campus. A free pizza lunch is provided to in-person attendees. 

Registration for in-person and online attendance is required using the Register button. In-person attendance is limited, and seats are given on a first-come, first-served basis. If you plan to attend in-person, we encourage you to bring your laptop and headset in case all seats are full. You are always welcome to attend virtually instead.

Workshop Draws

For anyone who attends the full workshop and fills out the feedback form within 1 hour of the workshop, will be entered in a draw for a $100 PC grocery gift card.* Draws will be 2 hours after the workshop and successful recipients will be notified by email!
