Course description

In this course, students are required to read and interpret information found on architectural, structural and electrical drawings to determine which codes and standards apply to the various electrical installations. Students work with drawings to interpret the various types of drawing symbols, read measurement scales, and identify common building materials and building methods. Reading of specifications, electrical equipment selection, ordering of electrical materials and installation scheduling are also introduced in this course.
