Modules

Complete all three modules and receive the Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging in the Workplace Micro-certificate. Modules must be completed in sequential order as per below, as each module builds on the skills in the previous module.

  • Module #1: Cultures of Belonging
  • Module #2: Identities and Diversity Patterns
  • Module #3: Courageous Workplaces

Note: Each module is open for the entire semester. Participants are able to register and take the module at any time during the semester. The module is expected to take up to eight hours in total to complete but there is no time limit, as long as the module is completed by the last day of the semester.

The second module in this series continues the conversation on belonging in the workplace, with an exploration of how experiences of belonging are connected to socio-cultural identities. Participants consider the ways in which they have experienced marginalization or contributed to the marginalization of others in the workplace. These experiences are countered with belonging strategies, such as inclusive language, micro-affirmations, amplification, and the formation of alliances to create meaningful change. These strategies empower participants to contribute to more equitable, inclusive workplaces for all. This module is the second of three that make up the Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Series Micro-certificate. Modules must be completed in sequential order, as each module builds on the skills in the previous module.
